Many of our fasteners are made of a variety of materials, some include pressed steel components and others are complete aluminium fabrications. It mainly depends on the purpose of the fastener itself. Many of the pressed steel components are galvanised which makes a strong steel part that also resists corrosion. Aluminium is a lighter material than steel and therfore aluminium fabrications are neccesary when weight is a factor. Some alloys can contain a mixture of various other elements creating unique fabrications and bespoke components that are fit for purpose. Aluminum is used in a variety of alloys as it is a very ductile and malleable material and aluminium extrusions are therefore more common place than steel extrusions.
Primarily we deal with fasteners, from standard socket fasteners to structural socket fasteners. Standard socket fasteners can be used to do standard jobs such as fastening planks of woods to joists. Structural fasteners are more durable and stronger than standard socket fasteners, more torque can be applied using higher strength fasteners. Heavy duty machinery and vehicles require structural fasteners.
